Diffusion Open HPDE Fleece Seam Tape by Tyvek® for Sealing Vapour Control Membranes with Split-Release Liner
Tyvek Corner Tape Features
- Split-Release Liner
- EnEv, DIN 4108-11 Compliant
- High Tack, Water Proof Acrylic Adhesive with High Initial Grab

- Single Sided
- Excellent Resistance to U.V. & Ageing
- Stretch Resistant
- Can be Torn by Hand - Quick & Easy to Apply
- High Thermal Stability
- Suitable for Internal & External Applications
Single sided HDPE Fleece sealing tape with an open adhesive system, allowing passage of ‘in construction or internal moisture’ to move outwards, whilst remaining weathertight, watertight and windproof. This is a proven tape for sealing external membranes, construction layers, timer (ply, OSB, chipboard) and penetrations, whilst also offering internal airtightness sealing. Suitable for new build and retrofit (EnerPhit), extensions and remedial works to both residential and commercial construction projects. Tyvek Tape exhibits excellence resistance to UV, and has a specially formulated heat resistant adhesive which bonds well with non-polar and low surface (LSE) energy surfaces, providing a durable, heat resistant seal with a long service life. Reliably seals overlaps, seams, corners, openings, apertures, joints and penetration points in roofing, breather layers, underlays and façade membrane applications.

This version features a split-back release liner, allowing installers to peel away the backing in two stages. This makes it significantly easier to position the tape accurately before final bonding, particularly when sealing membrane overlaps, corners, window junctions and difficult detailing areas. Split-liner tapes are especially useful when sealing vapour control layers around windows and doors where precise placement is required.
Split-Release Liner Benefits
- Allows one side of the tape to be fixed first for accurate positioning
- Makes it easier to seal corners, window junctions and detailing areas
- Improves control when taping membrane overlaps and board joints
- Helps installers achieve faster, cleaner airtight seals
- Reduces wrinkling and misalignment during installation
- Prevents air gaps under the tape due to maintained tension – Critical for airtightness performance
- Prevents tape sticking to itself during installation as VCL tapes have high performance adhesive systems causing them to be very tacky
Centred Split Liner for General Joint Sealing
Provides balanced application on both sides of the seam, making it suitable for a wide range of sealing tasks.
Typical Applications;
- Standard VCL membrane overlaps
- General airtight sealing
- Repairs and patching
- Multi-directional taping (horizontal, vertical, or irregular areas)
How to Use;
- The liner splits evenly down the middle
- One half is removed first, allowing the tape to be fixed over the joint
- The second half is then removed and pressed down
Offset Split Liner for Guided Seam Installations
Provides extra guidance during installation, helping installers keep the tape straight along joints.
Typical Applications;
- Long membrane seams
- Straight VCL overlaps
- Wall or roof membrane runs
- Situations where precise seam alignment is important
How to Use;
- The narrow liner strip is removed first, exposing the small adhesive strip that acts as an alignment guide along the seam
- Once positioned, the larger liner section is removed and the rest of the tape is applied
