What is Magnetic Tape?
Magnetic tape is a double-sided tape supplied in rolls with a strong adhesive on the back and a strong magnetic side on the front. Magnetic tape comes with two sides that magnetically attract to secure signs, posters or dividers. Magnetic tape has a wide range of applications and is used in a wide range of sectors including retail and manufacturing.
Other uses for magnet tape include:
- Storing magnetic items that can attract to the tape.
- A temporary solution for storing tools or other DIY items
- It can be used to close cabinets and doors with no handles or locks
- Secondary glazing.
Our magnetic adhesive tape is a flexible and reliable product that comes in a variety of sizes and has both the A & B side included. The strong adhesive of magnetic tape binds to surfaces creating a strong seal so that it won't be removed easily. We also have a variety of adhesives to choose from as well with a choice of strong, standard and foam adhesives. This also creates a viable alternative to just using adhesive tape.
This makes magnet tape perfect for industries such as retail and manufacturing but can also be used domestically for DIY projects.
How to use Magnet Tape
As mentioned previously there are many ways in which to use magnet tape. For example, you could use magnet tape for securing:
- Signs
- Posters
- Shelving
- Dividers
- DIY Projects
- Insulating windows
- Display mounting
- Can be used to store tool
Depending on the use of the magnet tape, there are two ways in which you can apply magnetic tape. For securing magnetic objects, first locate the surface you want to attach the tape to and make sure the area is clean. Then remove the film from the adhesive side of the tape and carefully stick your magnet tape to the surface. Once it is securely in place you can attach ferromagnetic objects to the tape.
Alternatively if you want to use both A & B sides of the tape follow the same procedure with the exception of using the A or B side to secure an object to the tape. Make sure that both the A & the B side are aligned with each other so that the tape works as effectively as possible.
At Affixit we have a wide range of different magnet tapes to choose from depending on your needs. Our magnetic tape is also perfect for a range of industries including manufacturing and retail. We have a range of adhesives and types to select from as well whether you want a standard adhesive or something a bit stronger. We also have steel magnetic foam tape as well if you are looking for an alternate way to insulate windows.
