Single Sided Foam Tape for Sealing, Cushioning & Gap Filling

Affixit Single Sided Foam Tape is a versatile self-adhesive PVC foam tape designed for sealing, cushioning, insulating, gap filling and noise dampening applications. Available in a wide range of widths and thicknesses, the range is suitable for industrial, construction, automotive and general-purpose applications where a flexible compression seal is required.

The range includes closed-cell black and grey single sided foam tapes for water, air and dust sealing, together with a soft open-cell white foam tape for air and dust sealing. Each tape is coated on one side with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive and supplied with a paper release liner for straightforward installation.

Black & Grey Closed Cell Single Sided Foam Tape

Our black and grey single sided foam tapes use a predominantly closed-cell, medium-hard PVC foam. When correctly compressed, they provide an effective seal against water, air and dust.

A minimum of 30% compression is required to achieve a water seal, making these grades suitable for sealing joints and gaps where resistance to moisture and weathering is required.

White Open Cell Single Sided Foam Tape

Our white single sided foam tape uses a soft, predominantly open-cell PVC foam. It is designed for air and dust sealing, cushioning and gap filling applications where a softer and more conformable compression seal is required.

A minimum of 50% compression is required to achieve an effective air and dust seal.

Single Sided Foam Tape Technical Performance

• Pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive
• Service temperature: -30°C to +70°C
• Recommended application temperature: +10°C to +40°C
• Good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis
• Very good resistance to UV light
• Suitable for internal and external applications

Choosing the Right Single Sided Foam Tape

For applications requiring a water-resistant compression seal, choose the black or grey closed-cell foam tape and ensure the foam is compressed by at least 30% during installation.

For air and dust sealing, cushioning or applications requiring a softer and more conformable foam, the white open-cell tape is the more suitable option and should be compressed by at least 50%.
