Affixit Double Sided Foam Tape is a versatile range of self-adhesive foam tapes designed for permanent bonding, mounting and fixing applications. The foam carrier helps the tape conform to uneven surfaces while providing cushioning, shock absorption and sound insulation.

With pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on both sides, double sided foam tape provides a clean and convenient alternative to mechanical fixings for many industrial, manufacturing and general-purpose applications.

Double Sided Foam Tape Range

The Affixit range is available in 1mm, 2mm and 3mm thicknesses, with black and white options depending on the required specification.

Why Use Double Sided Foam Tape?

The foam layer allows the tape to compensate for small gaps and variations between mating surfaces while maintaining adhesive contact. This makes foam tape particularly useful where a rigid, thin double sided tape may not provide sufficient conformity.

The closed-cell foam constructions also provide good resistance to moisture and humidity, making selected products suitable for both internal and external applications.

Choosing the Right Double Sided Foam Tape

The best tape depends on the substrates being bonded, required foam thickness, operating environment and the loads placed on the bond. The 3mm black heavy-duty grade has substantially higher foam density than the general-purpose variants and should be considered where a more robust bonding and fixing solution is required.

For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contamination before application. Firm, even pressure should be applied across the complete bonded area.
