Form Correct Two Way Sealant Bonds with Affixit Bond Breaker Tape
This tough tape will stop sealants from bonding to the back of the joint.
Why is this important?
It is important for sealants to bond in two places so it can expand properly. If the sealant bonds in the wrong areas it may tear, split, stretch or crack.
Shallow Joints
Apply Bond Breaker Tape to the bottom of the joint, this will ensure that the sealant only bonds to the walls.
Metal Butt Joints
Apply Bond Breaker Tape to metal edges so that the sealant can be "buttered" over the joint.
